Dainty Delite

Drifting in the breeze,
Through the air
Gliding down to earth.
Making it's way effortlessly
as it teeter's towards the ground.
Landing ever so gracefully
placing it's delicate skin on its new surface,
Its new place of residence...
The Asphault
How dainty it looks just sitting there
against such a rough,
glistening in the sun,
Dark and Hard Pavement.
Its' Golden color
sticks out like a sore thumb;
Against the Black rocky rough surface of the street.
This Dainty Delite
once part of a branch
A Cluster of golden dainty delites
Now out on the streets
all by its lonesome...
Giving us a sign that Fall is here.

Ok so I have been slacking in blog land..

I just want to make this quick little note. I'm sorry. I have not been on here much but this is why I dislike these things because it is hard to keep up with everything but I will try to keep it up even if I just post an image or two up here. This reminds me why my diary as a kid had the same kind of blank entries...

For those of you who know me, I'm not one to just talk unless I have something to say or express. I'm an expressive person and that is why I am an artist. I express myself mostly through my work.

Which you can check out here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10210775@N06/collections/72157608758868016/

Where my work does not allow such an expression I usually will accompany it with a few words, poems, or songs that fit. Most of the poems and words are written by me.

For next time I will follow this post by adding more with such images and phrases (poems) that I find very expressive and share worthy.
Hope you are having a lovely day. Until then... tata for now.

Inspiration

Hello world. :)

Normally if I was starting a new website page or domain within a webpage I would start out by explaining to you who I am and all that good stuff.... but I'm going to try something a little new.
If you happened to find this page you will see by my Title up top I am Creative and Innovative when it comes to photography. As an individual with an artist background I like for my work to speak for itself so that is why I am going to try to make this introductory short and sweet (just like me..hehe). If you feel as if you want a glimpse into my world please feel free to view my work on flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10210775@N06/sets/. If you have a flickr account feel free to contact me for any advice or just to say hello.

Now onto the title of this blog... (now that you got to know me just a little bit and took a glance at my work *wink wink* *nudge nudge* hehe; time to sit down with me and have a little chit chat if you will..)

I remember reading a couple blogs the last few weeks about inspiration and being in a funk... well lets face it if you are creative and an artist this sort of thing, well, it happens we've all been down that road.
However, my best way to get out of this funk is through my work. I find sometimes when I'm down that road I get more creative juices to flow and some of my best works come out of it (not to say my other work when I'm in other moods are bad) but sometimes we need these "funk" stages it helps us grow. All artists have their "periods" of certain movements within their work and funk can be one of them it's just all about going out there and discovering WHO YOU ARE. Not only as a person but as an artist too.
If you are ever in a rut for inspiration try going to a gallery, museum, park, mall, go out with your friends, go for a drive, etc... just go somewhere and get out there. Even if it's something so simple as looking at other's artwork online. Do what is "free spirited" to you. No thinking involved.
Just make sure to bring one of two things (or both) along with you: bring paper and a pen or a camera if you have one. With those items either jot down or capture things you saw on your little adventure outting that you saw as captivating or maybe even inspiring. Now don't be discoraged if you didn't see anything. You may be surprised that on that boring trip on the bus or waiting to get your coffee you may have doodled something on that paper that might be used later on as inspiration for something else. (it's happened to me many of times..)

So you may be asking yourself... #1 wow this short and sweet blog sure is long lol and #2 What's her point and what inspires her to be writing something so long....

Well let me answer. #1 sorry for making this longer but I wanted to make a point. #2 the point is inspiration can be found anywhere and everywhere even when you least expect it (a true creative mind knows that) and well when people ask me where I get my inspiration I tell them ME.

My imagination takes over and sometimes I get into my little funks here and there but my creative juices never stop flowing because I love ART. I'm constantly looking at art and viewing the world around me... not to say other artists haven't inspired me because they have but you are the only one who can give you inspiration... it's all in what's in your heart.
And in my heart... there is a caring, loving, individual with a passion for art. ART is ME. Creating things is what I do. If I die starving... at least I stuck to what I loved doing most.
